What to Do and See
1) The Ganden to Samye trek is another one of the more relaxing Tibetan treks. If you have more time to enjoy Tibetan trekking, you can journey on this long route for four to five days. Like its name, the trek features a visit to Ganden Monastery and Samye Monastery. You will travel through two passes, the Shuga-La pass and Chitu-La pass, both of which are over 5,000 meters. The route is surrounded by holy lakes, magnificent alpine landscapes, nomadic camps and religious sites.
2) The Tsurpu to Yangpachen trek also features monasteries, alpine landscapes and nomads. The most notable monastery on its path is Tsurphu Monastery. Additionally, this trek also features herders, hot springs and remote nunnery. It's perfect for those seeking a glimpse of Tibetan's culture and wilderness.
3) The Everest Base Camp to Tingri trek and Mount Kailash trek are Tibet's most challenging treks. The Everest trek involves valleys and glaciers, with rewarding wildlife sighting and a humbling sense of solitude.
