Tibet Mount Everest Expedition

Tibet Mount Everest Tour

Mount Everest, or Chomolungma in Tibetan and Sagarmatha in Nepalese, is the Earth's highest mountain above sea level. Its rock height is 8,844.43 meters, whereas its snow height, agreed to be the official height of Mount Everest, is 8,848 meters. Tibet houses one of the mountain's two main climbing routes, up its north side. On your trip to Tibet, you simply cannot miss a wonderfully challenging and beautiful hike to the Everest Base Camp.

Why Hike Mount Everest
As previously mentioned, Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world above sea level. It not only symbolises self-challenge and endurance, but also a humbling sense of patience, perseverance and accomplishment. You can hike gradually to the North Base Camp of Mount Everest and revel in the feeling of standing at one of the highest points on Earth.
What to See on Mount Everest
After a visit to the well known landmarks of Lhasa, such as the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery, as well as Namtso Lake and Yamdrok Lake, you can end your itinerary with a memorable hike up the world's highest mountain. Mount Everest is surrounded by more than 40 peaks with a height of more than 7,000 meters above sea level. The mountain is rocky and snowy, but with Mount Everest, it is not about what you see, but what you feel. You will feel fatigue, certainly, but most of all you will feel a beautiful, humbling sense of solitude that you can find nowhere else in the world.

When to Hike Mount Everest
The bulk of tourists that flock to Tibet to climb Mount Everest do it between July and August. This is the traditional high season period of Tibet and Mount Everest tours. However, this period is not recommended for climbing Mount Everest, because these months are accompanied by heavy rains that cover the beautiful view of Mount Everest in cloud and mist. As such, the best months to climb Mount Everest are between April and June, and between September and December. Although it is almost as cold as it is during winter, the dry and clear weather makes it fairly ideal for travel.
